Life is a journey. Its not what we make, but what we hold on to. We must not have a consuming lifestyle.
My God will supply all my needs. We must show good stewardship with what God has entrusted to us, for God to give us more.
We must have a keeping mentality. We must store our good things in a heavenly safe. That which comes from the world can be taken from the world. Only what is secure in the heavenly realm is truly secure.
I know whom I believe in and am persuaded that Christ is able to keep what I’ve committed unto Him against that day. Even when we don’t feel like it; we must trust The Living God!
We are sanctified, Justified, and righteous in Christ the moment we receive Christ as our Lord and Savior. We must hold on to this gift God gives us. We want what Christ has given us and press on toward what Christ is laying up for us when He returns for us,( believers).
We must hold onto what good God has accomplished in our weaknesses.
This is my summary of the Message given today by Pastor James Ladon Alldredge, at the Lighthouse Church of God, in fort Lauderdale, FL, on Sunday Nov 3, 2013.
2 Timothy 1:8-14
New International Version (NIV)
8 So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner.Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. 9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. 11 And of this gospelI was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher. 12 That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.
13 What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. 14 Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
